Nicole Marshall

Nicole Marshall is the Manager of the Public Affairs Department and has been with the River Authority for 3 years. Before becoming part of the leadership team, Nicole began as a Brand and Communications Specialist working for the San Pedro Creek Culture Park Project, managed the events for the River Authority, and then became the Public Affairs Officer.

Nicole comes to us from McAllen, TX where she co-owned MADworks Ad Agency for over 18 years. During her tenure at the agency, she worked closely with clients in marketing, public relations, graphic design, social media, and market research.  Nicole has over 25 years of experience in the marketing field and has served several non-profit boards, specializing in fundraising.

Nicole, originally from Omaha, Nebraska, holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas – Pan American. She has three beautiful girls and enjoys her time hanging out with them and her family that visits often.

SASPAMCO Paddling Trail Temporarily Closed

Staff have removed two large log jams just downstream of Helton Nature Park, keeping the southern portion of the SASPAMCO Paddling Trail temporarily closed. Staff are working to contact adjacent landowners to support a land-based removal solution.

The SASPAMCO paddling trail is open from River Crossing Park to Helton Nature Park.
*Please Note: Paddling Trail from Helton Nature Park to HWY 97 is still closed due to blockages.
