Environmental Advisory Committee

The Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) was established to serve as a comprehensive public participation group that reviews and provides input on environmental studies and programs at the San Antonio River Authority (River Authority). In addition to developing an educated constituent base, the committee will advise the River Authority’s departments about environmental issues within the basin. The EAC also acts as the River Authority’s Clean Rivers Program (CRP) Steering Committee, providing guidance and feedback on the River Authority’s annual monitoring schedule. The advisory committee can have a maximum of 13 members, including co-chairs, but the number of members may vary from time to time. Currently, there are 13 members comprising the committee, each representing a distinct stakeholder group. The stakeholder groups presently represented on the EAC are: academia, agriculture, bay and estuary, recreation, business and industry, and environmental. If you would like to contact a member of the EAC or would like more information about the committee, please use the form below.
