Be a bird’s best friend! Learn about the awesome adaptations birds have, and where they live and can be found. Use what you learn to go on a birding hike around the park. With numerous bird species recorded at Hendrick Arnold, you are sure to find some amazing birds to look at.

Upcoming Freeze Alert!

Due to the incoming freeze, all of our park water fountains and restrooms will be temporarily shut down over the next couple of days. We’re planning to have everything back up and running by February 22nd. If you’re heading out to enjoy our parks, please plan accordingly and stay safe in the cold weather! Trail Closure: Museum Reach at Pearl

Stem Density Efforts

January 9, 2025

Please be advised that trails near the Confluence Park and Conception Park area will be temporarily closed due to ongoing Stem Density efforts. We appreciate your cooperation and ask that you remain mindful of workers and closures when in the vicinity. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our natural spaces!

 Stem Density efforts in the Eagle Land segment will be extended through the end of February 2025.

SASPAMCO Paddling Trail Temporarily Closed

November 20, 2024

Staff have removed two large log jams just downstream of Helton Nature Park, keeping the southern portion of the SASPAMCO Paddling Trail temporarily closed. Staff are working to contact adjacent landowners to support a land-based removal solution.

The SASPAMCO paddling trail is open from River Crossing Park to Helton Nature Park.
*Please Note: Paddling Trail from Helton Nature Park to HWY 97 is still closed due to blockages.
