Nature Center Sun-day at Trueheart Ranch Nature Park! Join us for a fun-filled day of nature, creativity, and exploration from 9 AM – 3 PM! Activities happen every other hour, so plan your adventure:
Birding Tour | 9 AM – 10 AM
Story Time | 11 AM – 12 PM
Recycled Art | 1 PM – 2 PM
Special Hands-On Activity: Build your own bird feeder using recycled real estate signs!

Goliad Paddling Trail Alert

March 6, 2025

NOTICE: HWY 59 Landing Site Closed

Due to TxDOT construction on the HWY 59 Bridge, the HWY 59 landing site is closed until further notice. However, the Goliad Paddling Trail remains open, and paddlers can still access the river at the Riverdale, Ferry Street, and Goliad State Park landings.

Please plan accordingly and check back for updates.

The area near Pearl North Bridge and Museum Reach trail under bridge on west bank is currently closed. Please refer to the map below for alternative routes.

SASPAMCO Paddling Trail Temporarily Closed

November 20, 2024

Staff have removed two large log jams just downstream of Helton Nature Park, keeping the southern portion of the SASPAMCO Paddling Trail temporarily closed. Staff are working to contact adjacent landowners to support a land-based removal solution.

The SASPAMCO paddling trail is open from River Crossing Park to Helton Nature Park.
*Please Note: Paddling Trail from Helton Nature Park to HWY 97 is still closed due to blockages.
