The San Antonio River Authority (River Authority) invites you to visit and enjoy the more than 500 acres of parks, which include more than 28 miles of hike and bike trails, and over 60 miles of paddling trails along the San Antonio River’s 240-mile course! Our dedicated park programming and events staff are responsible for creating unique and engaging opportunities so that our constituents can safely enjoy our parques y senderos and forge meaningful connections to our creeks and rivers.

Free Fishing Clinic at Escondido Creek Parkway
Disfruta el Fundación de pescadores Fin Addict and the River Authority on Saturday, August 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Autopista Escondido Creek in Kenedy, TX for an exciting morning of family, fishing, and meeting new friends! Equipment and water provided. Children ages 5 – 16 can participate without a fishing license and must be accompanied by an adult.
Wilson County Trade Days and Camp Gladiator at Helton Nature Park

Did you know that you can reserve our nature parks to host your next event? We often partner with area businesses and organizations to host their events at our parks. Días comerciales del condado de Wilson is a FREE event open to the public on the third Saturday of each month March through December at Parque Natural del Río John William Helton San Antonio. The next event will take place Saturday, August 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Make sure to bring the family to support local vendors and enjoy everything Helton Nature Park has to offer! On August 21, also at Helton Nature Park from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., you can take part in a FREE workout courtesy of Camp Gladiator! Just bring a water bottle, sweat towel, and fitness mat.

La River Authority también ofrece programación y eventos gratuitos en Parque Cultural San Pedro Creek for the community’s enjoyment! Some of our upcoming opportunities include our Yoga on the Creek series with Mobile Om which takes place every Monday starting at 6:00 p.m. Due to construction at the Culture Park, the yoga series is currently being hosted at Legacy Park. The next Community Drum Circle, which is a popular event at the Culture Park, is on Tuesday, November 9, starting at 7:00 p.m.
