The kids may be out of school, but no matter your age, you can always make a little extra time for fun! In that spirit, check out our ideas for an eco-savvy summer adventure, whether you’re getting out of town or staying local.
Journey with Purpose: Support the River Foundation on Your Next Adventure!
For some of us, summer is the time to hop on a plane to a beach somewhere or escape the heat by opting for cooler climates. If that’s you, have you thought about helping reduce your carbon footprint?
If you plan on traveling this summer, consider signing up with The Good Traveler, a carbon offset program that works to restore balance by keeping greenhouse gases out of the atmosphere. The Good Traveler has now partnered with the River Foundation to fight climate change. When you buy a carbon offset from The Good Traveler to go with your plane ticket, you can choose the River Foundation to receive your donation and help restore the climate balance.
How does it work? Simply go to their website, calculate the carbon footprint for your journey, and make a small donation to offset those greenhouse gases.
