River Authority Hosts Post-Tour de Goliad Bike Ride Celebration at Branch River Park

WHAT: The San Antonio River Authority (River Authority) will be hosting a post-event celebration for the 28th Annual Missions Tour de Goliad Bike Ride at Branch River Park on Saturday, October 19. The River Authority will once again serve as the Finish Line Sponsor and participants are invited to enjoy live music by DJ Felix V, and a brown bag lunch catered by Werner’s Catering. Branch River Park is owned and operated by the River Authority.This 4.2-acre park offers amenities such as a park trail, benches, picnic tables, playground, amphitheater and restrooms. The park’s located near Goliad’s historic courthouse square and helps connect to the Angel of Goliad Hike & Bike Trail and the Ferry Street San Antonio River access site.

WHEN: Saturday, October 19, 2019, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Gate 5 Trail Closure

The City of San Antonio Department of Public Works is in the process of completing updates on the Nueva St. Dam. Due to crane activity, the east sidewalk of the River Walk Trail from Villita St past E. Nueva St. and the bridge over the dam located just south of Nueva St. will be closed today July 15, 2024, between 7 AM and 4 PM. There is a marked detour route for pedestrians. The Acequia trail will have heavy traffic near MROC starting May 22nd until further notice. The SAWS Acequia project will be bringing in crews to work on the lift station site and across the street. There will have flaggers to stop traffic, please use caution.

The SASPAMCO paddling trail is open from River Crossing Park to Helton Nature Park.
*Please Note: Paddling Trail from Helton Nature Park to HWY 97 is still closed due to blockages.
