Artwork will be integrated into new shade structure at AME Church

The artwork is part of the Foundation’s St. James AMEC Culture Crossing Design Enhancements project and will help honor and preserve the archaeological footprint and original foundation of the St. James African Methodist Episcopal Church (AME Church) while also serving as a permanent shade structure for park goers to enjoy. This will mark the second event in a series of community engagement opportunities leading up to the artwork installation in spring 2024. For more event information, visit sariverfound.org
