San Pedro Creek Culture Park’s Aqua Installation by Alex Rubio

How is water important to your home and family life, livelihood, cultural practices, wellbeing, and your local environment? World Water Day is observed annually by the United Nations to focus on the importance of freshwater and to raise awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. This year’s World Water Day theme is valuing water.

In honor of World Water Day, the San Antonio River Authority (River Authority) is teaming up with the San Antonio River Foundation (River Foundation) to invite the public to join this critical conversation and celebrate water’s importance in our lives. Read along to learn more!
