The San Antonio River Authority (River Authority) staff is committed to safe, clean, enjoyable creeks and rivers but we need YOU to help us protect and preserve area natural resources for future generations. There are many ways you can get involved and Be River Proud! We want to highlight your positive actions so please share with us pictures or videos of you and your loved ones on social media using #BeRiverProud. Once a month, we’ll feature your stories on our blog.

Enjoying our Parks & Trails During the Pandemic

As we continue to navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic, River Authority parks are being enjoyed by local citizens and visitors to our community as a safe space to get outdoors with family and friends. Recently an Instagram follower, @jenifer_indianer and her family took a walk along the Mission Reach of the San Antonio River Walk for a day of fun outdoor recreation! “We were so impressed with how many different birds we saw,” said Jennifer. Her family even enjoyed an impromptu photoshoot!

A participant of the River Authority's 6th Annual Planets in the Park event shares on social media how much they enjoyed the event.

Our next Be River Proud highlight is a follower that joined us for the 6th Annual Planets in the Park virtual event! The event included free live presentations and space art activities talking about environmental stewardship on our Facebook page.  @krystaljr (Instagram) and her son joined our Education team on February 27 and created their own planet!  “My future astronaut enjoyed the art activity, presentations and is now glued to the computer exploring Stellaruim!”
